Freedom Is Possible
Celebrate Recovery at Lynhurst Baptist Church meets Wednesday at 6:00 p.m for fellowship and a meal. Our large group meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. with Open Share Groups at 8:00 p.m.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Fellowship 6:00 p.m.– Our meetings will have a time of fellowship before the start of the Large Group Meeting which will include a free meal and drink. During this time of fellowship, newcomers are welcomed by leaders of the CR Program and are introduced to the program.
Large Group 7:00 p.m. – The Celebrate Recovery Large Group features an extended time of uplifting worship in music to our true “Higher Power” – Jesus Christ. Worship allows us to shift the focus from our problems to the God who can bring serenity and transformation. We explore the recovery principles found in the Beatitudes and the Christ-centered Twelve Steps and we hear amazing “Stories to Celebrate” of those who are receiving victory over their fears, addictions, attitudes, and behaviors.
Open Share Groups 8:00 p.m. – We open the door to change by sharing our experiences, strengths, and hopes with one another. In addition, we become willing to accept God’s grace in solving our life problems. Confidential and anonymous support groups, divided by gender and certain recovery issues, offer a safe place to share and to gain the affirmation and encouragement of others. Together, working the Christ-centered Steps and applying their Biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually. We become free from our hurts; our fears; and our addictive, compulsive, and dysfunctional behaviors. Group Guidelines are strictly followed to ensure that the group is a safe place in which to share openly. This freedom creates peace, serenity, and—most importantly—a stronger personal relationship with God and others.
All are welcome to attend. For more information on Celebrate Recovery visit their website HERE.
