To provide a relevant ministry to strengthen families at all socio-economic levels, equipping them to become disciples and witnesses for Christ.
A community that serves as the hands and feet of Christ.
Lynhurst Baptist Church was founded on the West side of Indianapolis in 1920. The church has always had an important place in the life of this community. The first sanctuary was destroyed by fire in 1963, and the present structure was completed in 1965.
Lynhurst considers itself to be theologically conservative and an evangelistic church, believing that it is vital to call people to personal faith commitment to Christ. Lynhurst Baptist is a part of the family of American Baptist Churches, USA.

"My hope is to work alongside others to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus Christ. We do this by providing relevant ministry to strengthen families at all socio-economic levels, and equipping them to become disciples and witnesses for Christ. As a Husband, Father, and Minister I look to live an authentic and honest life that represents God's Kingdom in loving and approachable ways, so that the irresistible grace of God may touch all." ~Ben Wakefield, MDiv
